Spring is upon us, and eagles, osprey and cormorants are starting to nest on the lake. Each of these birds is a fantastic fisher and creates quite a spectacle when seen diving into the lake in pursuit of a meal. Once laid, an osprey egg will incubate for about 5 weeks. In only a few weeks, we will see new osprey chicks taking their first flights.

In development news, construction of the road and the community's storm water system is underway. The road should be fully paved by the end of April. A three-board fence frames the community entrance. The canoe rack and a pedestrian bridge connecting the hiking trails to the common area on Lake Talquin have also now been completed, and canoes are on order.
